NEW Foundation Programme (F.P.) Book starting on September 5th

Ideal for newcommers who wish to study in a structured way

FP takes your studies of Buddhism to a deeper level. Starting on Saturday September 5th, we will begin the study of Universal Compassion by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Universal compassion gives as practical and uplifting explanation of how we can transform our day-to-day lives - including even the most demanding situations - into opportunities for personal and spiritual development. This book challenges us to grow, and has the potential to have a remarkable impact on our lives.

Foundation Programme takes place at the Centre on Saturdays from 10am -12pm and 1pm - 3pm with a 1 hour lunch break between the sessions. Most classes consist of guided meditation, a reading and commentary from the text, followed by paired discussion. Approximately every 4th class is dedicated to group discussion led by two of the participants, with guidance from the teacher.

F.P. is a wonderful way of deepening our understanding and experience of Buddha's teachings. It is a tried and tested method that leads participants to authentic experience of travelling the spiritual path.

The facility fee for FP is £30/calendar month (or £35 including a simple lunch), payable by standing order. This also provides for free entry to GP classes, day courses, and retreat sessions.

If you are new to FP and would like to try it, you can come to the first two sessions free of charge.
