Dakini
Dakinis are female Tantric Buddhas and those women who have attained the realization of meaning clear light. Dakas are the male equivalent.
Examples of Dakinis are Vajrayogini, Tara, Sarasvati and Marichi.
The terms Dakini and Daka, and Heroine and Hero are interchangeable. Shantideva said that a real Hero or Heroine is someone who has destroyed their self-cherishing mind, has conquered thier delusions, and developed the courage to help many living beings.
